Agitational Program by UF of BSNL Executive Association (AIGETOA, SNEA-I and AIBSNLEA)

UF of BSNL Executive Association comprising (SNEA(I)), AIBSNLEA and AIGETOA) met today to review the preparation of agitational program on 16th and 20th of this month and decided tentatively future course of action.

After extensive discussions, it was decided that any move by management to hamper the career prospects of existing BSNL executives shall be firmly opposed. The united forum was of the firm view that now it’s high time to get implemented the standard pay scales E2 & E3 to JTO / SDE equivalent executives etc and contemporary executive promotion policy which is at Par with other leading PSUs. It was unanimously resolved that we are not going to settle at anything less than that.

The attitude and intent of management is clearly visible from the following comparisons:

  • One side exploring the possibility of VRS to compress man power for non-executives and lower level executives and other side expanding top management just to accommodate ITS officers ignoring industry standards.

  • Last DGM recruitment was designed such a way that no internal candidates were eligible despite of having requisite qualification and vast telecom experience, now recruitment at above DGM is designed in such a way that no internal and external candidates are eligible except ITS officers.

  • One side proposed to recruit professionally qualified MBA as MT underestimating internal qualified executives and their vast telecom experience and other side recruiting ITS at above DGM in the name of experience ignoring Pitroda committee that had recommended to recruits professional at middle and top management.

  • One side ignoring the legitimate demand of loyal executives JTO/JAO equivalent and SDE/AO equivalent to give legitimate E2 and E3 scale respectively and forced to work with lower scale other side giving higher scale to those ITS who have left BSNL in one shot.

  • One side BSNL management took 2 years to understand the pay protection of executives recruited after year 2006 and other side protected the pay of ITS officers before their recruitment.

  • Many executives have been recruited from other PSUs/Government Department but BSNL management had never considered their past service benefit but all the necessary order are released for ITS officers before their coming to the company.

United forum of executives association (AIGETOA/SNEA/AIBSNLEA) has decided to defeat such ill move of BSNL management. It has been decided to intensify the struggle by going on INDEFINITE “WORK ACCORDING TO RULE” & “TOTAL NON COOPERATION” if the issues are not resolved by that time. Exact dates shall be published later on. CSs, CHQ/Circle office bearers, District secretaries are requested to make extensive preparations at all levels for making these organizational programmes, a complete success by conducting general massive body meetings and other mobilization activities.

GSs of all the three Associations shall be visiting important destinations like Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh etc. very shortly to mobilize opinion and explain in detail the significance and criticality of the issues involved.

In the meantime, all our members and office bearers should go all out to make the programs on 16th and 20th Jan 2012 a spectacular success to make management aware that anyone who tries to kill our career shall not be spared by us under any circumstances.

Let’s come together to fight for our rights and for the survival of our beloved company and to ensure that our career prospects are not suppressed in any way.
